First day over and both Smoker and Yorkie ended the day with impressive results but Smoker takes an early lead.

• 2:20 Smoker was close early on with his first selection of the day Ace High Blue who finished 2nd @ 9/1.
• 2:50 Yorkie with 4 previous winners thought it was a good omen with his first selection Five Out Of Five but like Smoker came up slightly short in 2nd place @ 8/13.
• 3:30 With the pressure mounting Smoker's second selection of the day, his nap Timocracy sets off and romps home to win @ 6/1.
• 3:40 So is it goodnight Yorkie, should walk off in to the sunset? The young whipper snapper is on the ropes but his 2nd selection Atacama Sunrise wins @ 8/13 and puts him back in the race for the crown.
• 4:00 Mount Juliet Smoker's 3rd selection and favourite for the race, performs terrible and only manages 5th place. Has he let his guard down to early?
• 5:10 Yorkie's 3rd and final selection of the day Kazbow is off and unfortunately its another case of nearly with a 2nd place @ 4/5.

With 1 winner each and 3 placed out of the selections today, it's not a terrible day but I think Smoker takes the round. The winner at 6/1 and a 2nd place 9/1 but Yorkie showing promise with all placed today. See you all tomorrow.
